How to Play

Welcome to the AO26 Bracket Challenge presented by Nexo, where you can play for a chance to win $10 million AUD by selecting every winner of either the Men’s or Women’s Singles main draw.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to play, including registration, making your selections, scoring and everything else you need to know to get you going.

Registration

AO26 Bracket Challenge presented by Nexo is completely free of charge. However, if you want to submit your bracket you will need to log in or create an AO account. You must be an Australian resident aged 18 years or older to enter.

Submitting a Bracket

Select either the Men’s Singles Event or the Women’s Singles Event

Select the winner for every scheduled match in the draw. Qualifying rounds are not included.

Complete the answer to the tiebreak question (an estimate of total crowd attendance for AO 2026 between 12 Jan 2026 and 1 Feb 2026)

Submit the completed bracket. Only one entry permitted per person.

It’s that easy - simply use your tennis knowledge and instincts to predict the winners, from the first match to the Final.

Note - The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.

Making changes to your predictions

You will be able to submit a bracket and make changes as many times as you like before the bracket locks prior to the first game of the Australian Open 2026 at 10:00am AEDT on Sunday, 18th January 2026.

After this time, the bracket will become locked and no new brackets or changes to existing brackets can be made.

Prizing

A perfect bracket will win the Grand Prize. The Grand Prize is 1 x $10,000,000 AUD incl. GST

The Grand Prize will only be awarded to an entrant who correctly predicts every match outcome for their selected draw. If no entrant correctly predicts every match outcome for their selected draw, no Grand Prize will be awarded.

In the event no Grand Prize is awarded, the Consolation Prizes will be awarded to the entrants who earn the most points in each of the men’s and women’s brackets, i.e., there will be 2 (two) Consolation Prizes, 1 per men's and women's draw.

The Consolation Prize is 2 x $10,000 AUD incl. GST.  

How to Score Points

Points will be awarded for each correctly predicted match winner as follows:

1.      Round 1: 3 points per correct prediction
2.      Round 2: 6 points per correct prediction
3.      Round 3: 12 points per correct prediction
4.      Round 4: 24 points per correct prediction
5.      Quarterfinals: 48 points per correct prediction
6.      Semifinals: 96 points per correct prediction
7.       Final: 192 points for correctly predicting the tournament champion

The total number of points accumulated across all rounds will determine the entrant’s final score. Only correctly predicted matches will count toward an entrant’s point total. Player withdrawals, which are counted as a loss, will not be counted toward an entrant's point total.

Tiebreak scenarios

If two or more entrants finish with the same total score, or two or more entrants accurately predict every winner, either within the men's and women's bracket or as between the men's and women's bracket, the tie will be broken as follows:

1. The entrant who provides the most accurate answer to the official tiebreak question (closest to the official attendance number confirmed at the completion of AO 2026) will be deemed the winner.
2. If two or more entrants remain tied after application of the tiebreak question, the entrant who submitted their bracket entry first (based on the official timestamp) will be deemed the winner.
3. In the unlikely event that two or more entrants submit their bracket entry at the exact same time (based on the official timestamp), the Grand Prize or Consolation Prize will be split equally amongst the relevant entrants.

If no entrant correctly predicts every match outcome for their selected draw, no Grand Prize will be awarded.

If only one entrant correctly predicts the bracket across both men's and women's draws, then the tiebreak question will not be referenced.

Tracking your progress

If you submit your bracket prediction before the lockout time, you will be automatically entered into the overall leaderboard.  This is accessible via the ‘Leaderboard’ tab, where you will be able to view the top performing brackets throughout the tournament and where your prediction stands.

Sharing your bracket prediction

Once you have completed your bracket you will be able to share your predicted champion to your friends and family on Facebook & X.
